This publication is a reiteration of “Absent / Present” in the form of an artist book, reflecting on the aesthetics of decay and the unpredictability through process of printing with Risograph. Each image is comprised of three different colors of Red/Magenta, Blue, yellow, and the dots of the Riso printing adds more grain to the grainy film along with the scratches.
Absent/ present is applicable to so many different themes in life. It can be about time: now and then. It can be tied to a body: a physical body, a physical body of film. Film as a bodily presence: dead; as an absence, alive; as a presence. As film has its own objecthood, has its own body, has its own existence; it is separated from the body of camera or the body behind the camera.
