I Am In Shelter of The Window is convergence of language and architecture through the framework of Forough Farokhzad’s Poetry. The installation explores the “concreteness” of the space, perception and human existence with the use of concrete and film: as a documentary of place.
Meysami captures her experience of living in Los Angeles in the last two years as “the moments of azure blue”,referencing moments of a bird’s life described in Farokhzad’s poem. Her work is shaped around the act of looking and seeing through the metaphorical sense of window.

Concrete plays the concrete music
The film doesn’t have sound, while at the same time it does, as the concrete music resonates in the space. Here, music of the concrete however, is not the "Musique Concrete" that intentionally obscures or exploits the acousmatic listening, but it is the literal sound of the concrete itself. Definite and substantial: just as concrete is. With the use of contact microphone and transducers attached to the concrete. concrete becomes functional and aesthetical at the same time. A transducer is a device that vibrates the surface (that it has been attached to) to produce sound, and then the surface turns into a speaker by itself. By this mechanism, the concrete resonates a concrete sound that is receiving by the contact mic.
